Christmas Day in Brazil

It's Christmas day! Today we are having lunch at a friends house. We went to church early this morning and came home ready to eat lunch. The kids had alot of presents from Papai Noel, their version of Santa Claus. For lunch, we are having Feyada. It is the Brazilian national dish and it is also eaten in America, but it is known as a cuisine. It is a stew made with black turtle beans and various cuts of pork and beef, often served with rice and collard greens or deep fried cassava or banana. It was cooked using the three main cooking methods used in Brazil - boiling, puree, and marinated.
