It's Christmas Eve! There are huge Christmas trees everywhere around the city and kids are going around caroling. For dinner, we had cozido at 7:30pm. It is a stew with potatoes, carrots, and vegetables. we ate it with a side of brazilian bread. It was made using temprano baiano - the most popular spice in Brazil. Temprano baiano come in many different forms. It can be mild or spicy. Paracress is a common herb in Brazil. It looks like daisy flowers and is mostly used in home cooking.
