New Years Eve/ last day!

On New Year's Eve, the Brazilians have a designated area each year to watch fireworks! We decided to take a stroll. The street was packed with different age groups and other tourists having fun on their last day of 2012. We stumbled upon a cart that was selling acaraje. It is a popular street food . it contains black eyed peas seasoned with ground dried shrimp and onions, They're shaped into balls and deep fried in palm oil. We had to stand around the cart until we finished eating because on of the traditions in Brazil is that they don't eat on the go. We greatly enjoyed our trip in Brazil but we look forward to being reunited with our family in America.
